Some tell tale signs of a ripe sweet watermelon, I was helping an older lady find a good one the other day and just told her to look for the webs, it's a good indicator.

We had to make a fruit platter at work today and they wanted watermelon on it. The melon was beautiful. Bright red, deep green stripes and incredibly juicy. That shyt tasted like ass. Terrible. No taste at all. No sweetness what's so ever. We had some left and gave it to servers and cooks and they left it there after tasting it.
