That's probably not what puts candy in the bag. He found his lane years ago and he's not leaving it now.
If he started doing dramatic roles in 2020, most people would probably be like and not take him seriously. I think it was Eddie Murphy who said that the reason comedians fail to have successful film careers is because they try to play actual roles, rather than just be themselves.

He showed his chops a few times on the wayans broshe's arguably the best actor of the whole Wayans family which is wild considering he makes the worst movies of all of them combined. he showed range that none of the others showed just in that flick alone. you could argue in 6th Man as well he showed some range.

i criedHis role in that movie is haunting. When he's curled up in the fetal position in prison at the end, imagining he was a kid again curled up with his momma. I get goosebumps thinkin about it.
Jim Carey has done drama too but we want to see him in comedies
