MOVE was a black liberation group consisting of men women and children. They were a naturalist group who did not believe in technology, only the earth's natural resources. They were considered a cult, terrorists, outlaws, abnormal by the general public.

In 1985 the police tried to evict them from their home and ended up bombing the entire block. Destroying 65 homes, killing 11, including women and children.

They even shot at the members who tried to escape the burning fire.

I have a feeling people in 1985 especially black folks, we're not ready to for this type of group. A bunch of armed well spoken dreadlocked black folks that were carpenters, builders, educators. They didn't know what to think about a group of naked black children pointing at a piece of raw veggie and saying "life", and then the same group of children pointed at a news camera and said "technology and death"

I was trying to talk w him about this N that like I had so much knowledge and he gave me some names to look up....

These dudes were about that life . And I should have knew he was affiliated cuz of his interest IN guns (at a lecture I noticed alllll the topics and that stuff is what sparked his interest the most) and also very weird health related shyt.

These folks were on another level. They didn't belong in an urban shythole like philly. They belonged on the shores of Africa.
