A mother was quite literally floored by the surprise when she was finally reunited with her son after 10 years apart, video taken by the son’s fiancee shows.
Shanterious Linder’s video shows Olori Arit dropping to the floor and rolling around after she spots her son, Jerry Daniel, outside her home in Douglasville, Georgia.
According to Linder, Daniel left Nigeria to go to school in China. During that time, his mother relocated to the US. She said she connected with Daniel while he was in China, beginning a “long distance relationship”. Linder got to know Daniel’s mother since she lived in nearby Atlanta, she said.
Daniel returned to Nigeria after China, and eventually was able to come to the US on a K1 fiance visa, Linder said. She got him to come several days earlier than expected, so they could surprise Arit.
“We told her that he would arrive January 30 so she wasn’t expecting to see him so soon,” Linder said.
