He was over the top homophobic (even for mafia standards), he was in prison for 20 years, he literally came out of the closet before Vito was whacked, then the camera zoomed in on him gripping the bed as it happened. Also, he said some things that struck me as unusual ("I guess the turd doesn't fall far from the fakkit's ass").
