Was it ever explained why Kane’s face was black when he unmasked

But when he removed his mask his face was burnt ?


Plus he had the whole half hair thing going for a few years but why ??? They already explained he wasnt really burnt

Part of wants to say they never spoke on it and part of me remembers JR mentioning the emotional scaring thing and Kane purposely making himself look deformed to highlight how deranged he was even though he wasn't really burned, but it was said almost in passing and wasnt harped on

Then when they did it on TV, after a whole match where the makeup got ruined, they saw it looked awful and just went with the "oh, he was really emotionally scarred all these years "

My assumption was the eye black he wore started running down his face because of sweat. And regarding the hair, Bruce Prichard said it was his idea and he just felt that it looked cool. Kane and his wife hated it though
