For all you know supervision could have been watching that lady to check for stuff like that. Jobs will do stuff like that and have the worker themselves take the heat for it

I know working in retail if you were on the sales floor you'd have to go over to them and ask them if they needed help or you would get in trouble. What would basically happen is a customer would walk through the store and have like 8 people come up to them and by the time it was your turn they'd be ready to snap on you...but it didn't matter, if a supervisor walked by and didn't hear it, it was a problem for you
