1) A blind man can see why they fired her.

2) And lol @ her being fired for her "views" as opposed to her scholarship. Be one thing to say that type of stuff to your friends and acquaintances, but to put that stuff in an academic paper (well-researched or not), is inviting scrutiny.

3) But is she wrong? :patrice:

Broad could be George Foreman’s sister.

:pachaha:

To speak to OP’s question that isn’t why they fired her.

Her view point really isn’t even all that outrageous even for that time and era.

She was likely outspoken and very opinionated and those department heads, deans, and other high level admin at the university probably didn’t want to deal with the perceived baggage she came with.

A lot of those college professors are eccentric and she definitely seems eccentric, but you also have to know how to politic and tone that ish down too when you dealing with admin and other people that might view you as more trouble than you’re worth.

When you have that type of personality you better be well connected with people that will vouch for you or else you make yourself a soft target to people with real power; especially, ones that can make decisions on your employment.
