Toriyama the DB author did the character designs for Chrono Trigger, so that's why you see similarities

Yeah, when I was really young before I knew who the author of Dragon Ball was, I always thought Dragon Quest was some spin off DBZ because it had Dragon in the title and the characters had the Dragon Ball artstyle. :skip::pachaha:

Days of Future Past (post to username correlation notwithstanding) and the Terminator always felt more influential to the Android Saga more than anything. Chrono Trigger is still a GOAT game though.

The Terminator is the most likely inspiration, since I don't know how many manga authors were really into American comicbooks like that.
