I’m talking real young. Like 4,5,6...
When I was like 5 living in College Park I would beg my dad to take me to the High School football field to try to kick a field goal. In my mind it felt like an NFL stadium.
The way the chalk was on the baseball fields was always fascinating to me. The first time I saw a real pitchers mound in person I felt like I was in a movie.
My Uncle gave me one of his old football helmets and I pestered my Dad until he would get me a mouth piece from KMart. I had it boiled, and molded to my teeth, then snapped it on the helmet, then took the helmet and spray painted it Blue.
You couldn’t tell me shyt.
Tying my first baseball glove with a belt and sleeping with it under my mattress so it could get broken in.
Stealing cotton balls from my moms room, putting water on them and sticking them in my mouth so I could look like Sugar Ray or Hagler.
My first basketball socks and sweatbands. I really thought I was Magic or Zeke.
I was literally obsessed with anything that would make me look like the athletes on TV.
