The new 'Planet of the Apes' movie wants YOU to be a CGI ape

If you watched the recent Planet of the Apes movies and thought, 'hey, wouldn't it be fun to put on one of those cool motion-capture suits and hang out with Andy Serkis and pretend to be an ape for a major Hollywood blockbuster?'

Well now's your chance.

Serkis and War for the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves announced Sunday (via a commercial during the Walking Dead) that the movie will hold a contest where one fan will get to join a scene as a mo-cap ape extra. All you need to do is submit a video of your best ape impression here, and you could be hanging out with Caeser and the gang in no time.

And who knows? Maybe when you're hanging on set someone will discover you and this will be the start of your very own Hollywood fairy tale. Stranger things have happened.

It drives my OCD side nuts that it's called war for the planet of the apes and not war of the Planet of the apes

And the last two were good. But technically theyve been making em for 50 years
Maybe that's got something to do with the plot :jbhmm:
