In Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, we got to see Caesar become a powerful leader, as well as a husband and a father. So it's no surprise that Judy Greer has been asked back for War For The Planet Of The Apes, in order to reprise her role of Cornelia – Caesar's mate.

The Hollywood Reporter has noted that Greer, coming off of a summer that saw her in Tomorrowland, Jurassic World, and Ant-Man, has officially returned for the 2017 sequel's production. Also returning is Karin Konoval, the actress who plays Maurice, close confidant to Caesar and a member of his inner circle. The casting notice also mentioned that production on the film has officially started as of last week.

While War For The Planet Of The Apes has been notoriously sparse with details on its actual plot, there's some information we can draw from what's been put in front of us. For starters, bringing Greer and Konoval back as their respective characters maintains the status quo in the world of the apes. At the very least, we know that when we see Andy Serkis do his motion capture handiwork in the next sequel to 2011's Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, he'll be doing so without too many losses on his side. Which really gets us to thinking once we factor in Woody Harrelson's previously announced role.

As Harrelson is on the books to play the villainous figure known simply as "Colonel," War For The Planet Of The Apes seems to be setting its sights on events not too far flung from those of last year's Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. So while we shouldn't expect Judy Greer's Cornelia, or any of the other apes to be speaking just yet, it may not be all that far off to hear them uttering single words and syllables. Of course the title of War For The Planet Of The Apes is the greatest key to what could be happening in Matt Reeves' new installment of primate panic, as it could indicate the conflict has just started, or that it's been going on for some time. Whatever scenario Reeves and his team have crafted, at the very least we're hoping that it'll give Judy Greer more screen time than she's had in any of her film appearances this year.

With three out of the four films she starred in pegging her as "the mother," Greer's talents have gone vastly underused in the past year. Despite the fact that she'll have little to no dialogue, War Of The Planet Of The Apes will give everyone's favorite psychotic secretary from Archer another opportunity to navigate the waters between crazy nympho and doting mother. Seeing as her performance in Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes blended so well into the collective of motion-capture veterans, Andy Serkis' especially, it's good to know that even if her maternal instincts are called upon once more, Judy Greer will be doing more than just playing a mom.

It'll be here before u know it. Hopefully it's just as good if not better than Dawn.

True dat, rumor has it this might be the last movie with Caesar and that part 4 will be the astronauts that got lost in space in part 1 landing on earth and finding the apes in control

I wish this movie dropped this year instead of next I loved the first 2
I was just about to say this. We could have used a movie like this, this summer. So far the the summer been mediocre as hell, and the studios (besides Disney) ain't making no money.

If it's true then they should titled part 4 as "Return to the Planet of the Apes".
