Avid Vocal Studio is about $100. Mic, Stand, Carry Case and Software...you might be able to get it used from Amazon for cheaper. I know a few people who have used it and like it.

Bringing up old posts (ftw?). Anyway, I've fallen into some financial difficulties and I hit the old search function and found this Feb. joint. Um, I have GarageBand and the GarageBand for Dummies ebook. I can look into Audacity, Adobe Audition, and maybe even this Avid Vocal Studio (though I kind of feeling iffy about using a USB mic).

Any of you guys recorded whole songs on Garageband?

What set-up you got though? I'm tryna figure out why it would come out normal at a normal voice, but be messed up if you rap loud?

That's not that bad for a bundle (says the man that just got a check and still has it fully intact). You got any examples of what you've recorded using this?
