Theres a movie about this on amazon prime called Adidas vs Puma. Adi Dasler and rudi dasler made Adidas in the 20s. Adi designed the gear and rudi was more involved in the business end. They pretty much gave hitler a bunch of gear for the german soldiers to train in.

The movie painted rudi as the full on nazi, and the brothers split because of it (allegedly). Rudi went on to create puma, adi stayed with adidas.

Yeah, I saw that movie last month. Adi wanted to focus on the shoes only and getting his brand more recognition. Rudi in the movie wanted to stay loyal to Hitler for the sake of the brand. When Adi got Jesse Owens to wear his spikes at the 1936 Olympics, the brothers became at odds with each other.
