:ehh:

Not gonna lie, Big Vuc sounds like a better offensive coach than Billy Donovan. Bulls have a highly skilled big that can pass and shoot from distance, but don't run any offense through him like you see with Denver, Miami or Sac-Town.

He could be on to something

lowkey, between this, darko's comments on how they plan to run offenses thru jacob, ime prioritizing sengun, etc

jokic may have set a new trend for bigs/5s to pattern after in the league, like a diet version of prioritizing 3s after steph
I was calling for this all last year, if you have a big with that skillset, you have to use it. The blueprint is there. Main issue with Chicago doing it, is DeMar's lack of range fukking up the spacing

Didn’t they not say the same thing last year during training camp?
Yeah, but after signing back with Chicago, maybe they actually do it this season? Bulls offense was ranked 24th, so if they come out here again doing the same shyt, idk breh...

Vuc was actually decent last year, much better than the year before. We def could give him the ball up there a bit more, especially since we lack a point guard. Coby isn't a pure PG but he can probably do a poor man's rendition of Jamal Murray, or even someone like Huerter or Malik Monk off Sabonis.

The Bulls have options, they don't completely suck, but what it comes down to is their best lineup has 1 too few good defenders. Given Vuc, Zach or Demar is a question of or, not and/or. If you have a defensive center, then you can get away with Zach and Demar at the same time, assuming the other 3 on the floor are above average. But with those 2 and Vuc, no 2 defenders on earth can make up for their defensive lack. Vuc can play passable defense when he has 3 other good defenders around him. 2 around him is not enough. That is the crux of it.

The defense isn't the issue. Finished with a top 5 defense last season. The main issue with the offense is that guys were passing up open shots and they just didn't take enough 3s. It's hard to run a faster paced and aggressive offense when guys are out there timid and not playing free.

That's where Zach and DeMar have to make the extra pass and play team ball on offense more.
