Rules/Guidelines

- To place your vote, simply type in the name of the person you're voting for.

Damn, this is a real tough matchup.

Young will definitely frustrate Bowe and make it an ugly fight, but Bowe has the advantage in size, strength, and workrate.

I'm going with Bowe via SD

Going with Bowe.

Young never did well against type flight competition. Other than Big George, he never really looked good against top guys.

Young is stylistically is all wrong for Bowe...Too slick, too elusive, too crafty, intelligent & disciplined for a slow footed Bowe to catch up with and win rds on a consistent basis... and Young also has one of the greatest beards in Heavyweight history.

After seeing the trouble Bowe had with DA GAWD Tony Tubbs, who basically uses a poor man's version of Young's style, you would have to assume that Young himself would be a nightmare for Bowe to handle....And because of Young's discipline, Bowe won't be able to draw him into a brawl like he did with Holyfield.

YOUNG...via a clear 8-4/9-3 decision

Breh...he arguably should have a victory over every top fighter he faced from about 74-77.

That includes the likes of Ali, Foreman, Norton, Lyle & Shavers.

Every single one of those fights could've easily been scored for him...and if they had been...his resume would trump alot of the GOATS.

you said it all right there. young was very underrated. one of the best fighters that nobody talks about with a beautiful style for a heavyweight. i got to go with young. size advantage strength and work rate were things nobody had more of than george foreman and jimmy young dismantled him made it look like a b hop type fight

young

Gotta go with the local guy (plus I was never a fan of Bowe)...so I got Jimmy Young.
He was too smart of a boxer to not be able to come up with a gameplan to beat a lummox like Bowe.
It is fukked up how things ended for Young though. Broke, addicted to drugs, getting arrested and shyt. A damn shame.

Bowe by close decision.

Young was skilled and crafty in the spoiler mold no doubt, but when prime Bowe was on, he was on.

This would be a close and competitive fight, but I'd see Riddikk winning a close UD.

Uh.... yall might wanna go back in look at that Ali/Young fight. Young was completely overmatched. He landed two big right hands the entire fight. The first one was probably round 3/4, which gave Ali spaghetti legs for a lil bit, and the second right was in round 13. He boxed pretty good from the outside but he tucked tail too much for my liking. Kinda like Rigondeaux vs. Donaire. Other than that, Ali boxed circles around him and kept backing him into the corner making him put his head inbetween the ropes.

I'll give the Norton fight. That could have went either way.

And other than the 7th or 8th round where he got rocked, he gave big George that work.

But he looked really foolish against Ali by putting his head between the ropes every time Ali would take advantage of his speed.
