For those who don't know, Cyber X is ClutchFans poster who is a coach (College I believe) in the Houston area with close ties/sources at the Rockets organization. He has given inside information on there frequently; was early on the McHale firing, Dwight not being traded, etc..

CYBER X:Meeting scheduled, Morey is trying to be first in line ala Lakers - Walton.

Very DL

This would be a GREAT win to this team.

I think the Pacers fukked up firing Vogel IMO. Larry Bird said he wanted to change things up but it's really his fault that they're so average :mjlol:
He's the one who traded Kawhi and he's the one who didn't pick Draymond and Teague :mjlol:
If Vogel is the coach at Houston he's going to force James Har_en to play defense :mjlol:

Phil Jackson wtf are you doing? interview this man:what:

Phil Jackson on vacation; Knicks coaching search on hold?

Knicks president Phil Jackson has tweeted photos from Sioux City, Iowa, and Nebraska in the last two days.

You don't need me to tell you that Jackson is on vacation at the moment.

The interesting thing here is this: league sources say that some involved in the Knicks' coaching search have been informed that Phil is away right now. The implication is that the search is on hold.

Of course, this could also be Phil's way of distancing himself from certain candidates. If not, it’s an odd time for Jackson to take a break from the search.

Here’s what’s known about the trip: The New York Post reported that Jackson is headed to his home in Montana to collect his thoughts. Reporter Chris Neyenhouse from Siouxland News spoke with Jackson’s brother, Chuck, who said that Phil was driving him to Chuck's home in Idaho.

So what does this mean for the coaching search?

It’s possible that Jackson is conducting business from the road. He can communicate with candidates and his colleagues in the Knicks’ front office electronically.

But the optics here are a bit strange.

Jackson is away in Montana while the other two NBA teams with coaching vacancies – the Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets – continue to reach out to potential candidates.

The Rockets already have expressed interest in Indiana coach Frank Vogel, who was let go as the Pacers coach Thursday. It’s unclear at this point if the Knicks would have interest in Vogel.

Thus far, Jackson has spoken to ex-Cavs coach David Blatt and new Lakers coach Luke Walton about the Knicks’ vacancy. Blatt remains on the Knicks’ radar; Walton chose to leave his job as an assistant with Golden State to coach in Los Angeles rather than join Jackson in New York.

Knicks interim coach Kurt Rambis, Jackson’s close friend, remains a strong candidate for the opening as well.
