Vin Diesel is adding another chapter to
The Chronicles of Riddikk.
The action star will develop a TV series for Universal Television described as a “complement” to his highly popular
Riddikk sci-fi film franchise, the production company announced Wednesday.
Diesel played Riddikk, a dangerous criminal-turned-unlikely savior, in 2000’s
Pitch Black and its sequels
The Chronicles of Riddikk and
Riddikk.
In November,
the action star hinted that his One Race production company was working on
Merc City, a
Riddikk spinoff that centers on the bounty hunters and mercenaries of the
Riddikk universe.
No word yet on whether Diesel would appear in the potential series.
The drama is part of a multi-year, first-look production deal Diesel inked with Universal.
