The video was played in court on 15 May, during a hearing for Trevor Branham, who was driving the pickup truck, reports CBS News, the BBC's US partner. Branham has been charged with multiple counts of wanton endangerment, along with one count of operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

According to reports, Branham was operating a Chevrolet C1500 southbound on the bridge at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic, when he struck the stalled EV.
