Lomachenko: I Want Fans To Vote on Who I Fight Next

Posted by: Ryan Burton on 11/10/2015 .

BoxingScene.com caught up with WBO featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (5-1 3 KOs) shortly after his 10th round stoppage of Romulo Koasicha at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 27-year-old from Ukraine dominated from the opening bell and said that he had a lot of fun in the fight.

"I didn't really think about it. I did what I wanted to do when I was in the ring. I felt very comfortable," said Lomachenko.

Names such as Guillermo Rigondeaux and Yuriorkis Gamboa have been mentioned as possible future opponents for the two-time gold medalist. Lomachenko previously said that he would he would like to unify titles with Lee Selby, Gary Russell or Jesus Cuellar.

After the fight he said that he would fight any of them but that he would really like to let the fans decide who he fights next.

"I would like the media and the fans to choose. We should do voting and whoever they vote for I would fight next," Lomachenko told BoxingScene.com.

Well Selby would be nearly impossible to get done since he is with PBC.
Is Cuellar still with Sampson Boxing? I guess they could work something out.
I don't know who Gary Russell is with but is anyone really looking for that fight again aside from Loma in his quest to unify?
Would Arum allow Loma to fight Rigondeaux?
Is Gamboa still going through contract shenanigans with 50 Cent?

Loma vs. Rigo is one of my most desired fights in all of boxing. The technical matchup would be :ohlawd:.
Word was that Loma agreed to everything put forward by Rigo, but Rigo wouldn't agree to the money.
Apparently Arum is saying he worked hard to make Rigo-Loma for this last fight that didn't work out and is going to try again to make it for 2016.
I think HBO and Arum are on board. Loma is on board...sounds like Rigo probably is on board, I think it is his promoters holding it up. Rigo needs new promotion bad.

Don't think Loma is big enough to deal with Walters power yet, especially if he pulls weight fukkery like he did against Mariaga

fighting walters is dangerous. i would advise loma to at least get a few fights in at 130 before taking on walters. :francis:

he better bulk up as well cuz wlaters is big even for the 130 divison :francis:

Last time ab did this he lost right?

I'm not too sold on Loma just yet, every time I watch him fight I have a feeling he gonna get caught, I think Walters beats him.
