“Effects of labour shortage, $50K per annum to wash dishes,” reads an ad posted by the Handi Grill restaurant in Vancouver, which is looking for a couple of staff in a time of extreme worker shortages.

The Indeed.com and WorkBC job postings state “pay per hour will be $25 for 40 hours per week. No experience or education is required, and training will be provided to the eligible candidates.”
