I've been fukkin with this fam's music from his debut in 04. He's been around for awhile writing an producing for Dione Farris, Rashaan Patternson. Mad underrated artist. Incredible writer. Started on the piano, now has chops on the guitar. Most cats haven't heard of him despite him being managed by Randy Jackson. His live show is dope too. I've caught it three times. Sometimes its expansive, two guitars, two keyboards etc. Lately its bare bones, him on guitar, a bass player and a drummer. You cant really box him in any genre, funk, r&b, rock, punk....yes punk too. haha To me that's his curse bc the labels have trouble marketing him. Give him a listen.
