In my neighborhood there is an old man I always see that is always cleaning up. He paints the sidewalks, scrapes gunk off of lightpoles, picks up trash, moves junk from blocking the walkways, etc. Helps people. etc.

He told me today that he had been set up in a sting.

He had hired a prostitute and someone else (asside from the prostitute) took pictures of him with her and left him a note basically saying to stop cleaning up or they'll show his church he goes to.

He is pretty old, not wealthy or high profile. I'd say he is generally recognizable as just being the guy that keeps everything clean. He said they didn't ask for money and didn't explain how to contact them, they just told him 'stop'

We talk all the time, but I don't go to his church.
Plus I'm not an old person... so its not like I am interacting with his social circle.

I was surprised when he said set up, but eventually he told me. At first I thought he meant someone set him up to be in debt or to scam him or omething.
Wasn't expecting that at all.
