Thank you for posting this!! I've been telling folks that he can't stop this via Executive action. It's a law passed by Congress and reaffirmed by the SC. The only people that can stop it is Congress lol

They really cut it off and put up a message saying Trump will "save" it.

And he will which will make people worship him.

We really cooked out here.
Dems really gave trump this layup

all time worst politicians holy shyt. like they dont know anything about messaging and marketing at all
almost make me wanna revive the r-word but i swore off it :unimpressed:

Trump created the mess. Dems could've saved it, and now Trump will "fix" it temporarily. Facts. The optics look bad .:snoop:

:mjlol: Already see the play, Trump is definitely bringing the app back.

Trump gonna go save the day and make the dems look inept again. Seriously, can the dems get anything right anymore? What a fukking party of patsies

This is a ploy so they can shut it down on Sunday, blame it on Biden, then turn it back on in 1-2 days so Trump can play the hero and claim credit. It’s sad to see that the Chinese Communist Party is working with Trump so closely to deceive app users and the American people.

No one’s blaming Biden on TikTok. They know Zuckerberg is behind this

Agreed‼️‼️

This is one of the reasons that trump spoke with Xi a day or two ago. Same with Netanyahu at MAL to discuss doing everything to harm Biden & then magically stop to help trump. Either way, Leon or some other GOP rich dude benefits when they get to control TikTok.

I am troubled to see the number of young Americans who are saying publicly, loudly and proudly, that they do not care about the potential of providing information to China. They think only of the personal income they realize through TikTok.

What do y’all bet that when the dust all clears, Elmo is gonna be at least a part owner of TikTok?

@CookieJollytoes
We should ALL blackout TikTok this weekend!

If you are concerned about deception and misinformation on any social media platform, you should discontinue use.

Simple.. like turning the TV channel

:what:

it's very clear you don't understand the issue if thats the comparison you're using. tiktok is not hardware, they serve different purposes and markets. the tiktok ban is being contested on first amendment grounds which doesn't really apply to import of telecommunication equipment. that huawai ban didn't impact consumers or businesses the same way this tiktok ban is expected to. the already installed/purchased telecommunication equipment are no longer able to get direct updates but they can still be used. my brother was still using his huawei phone after the ban. tiktok is expected to be blocked/inaccessible.

these bans aren't comparable.
Intel and Qualcomm lost 11 billion annually selling chips and Huawei lost 30 billion annually since they can't use the US company's chips.....You also can't access the play store and you have to use workarounds that may get your phone hacked. Tiktok will lose 1 Billion 1st month, creators will lose 300 million.

Get a VPN then, you can still use it if you want....but "national security is national security" whether software, hardware or app....We used the platform for business, but we aint crying about it, we still getting money without it.

shyt usually falls off anyway, so you gotta adapt when something like this happens, a company sells or people stop using platforms heavy ike (snap, vine, myspace, etc). You can't get dependent on an app, we've had accounts banned and had to start over multiple times.

My personal IG account got banned last weekend for making a comment and I had to appeal it, luckily they said it was a mistake. We have had Shopify ban us from the platform saying products weren't within it's guidelines and had to adapt by going to another platform..... we got it appealed in the courts and after a few years back on shopify, but essentially starting over again.

If Trump fixes it, good, if not, oh well, life goes on pleighboi ... do I think the ban is silly, yes, but money still a mek :wow:

Sooooo how will all this work if it’s basically the US trying to force China into selling it? Also since the Supreme Court said let it happen? It’s going to be weird if the shyt miraculous comes back on Monday or some shyt.

No it doesn't. How many of those are foreign owned?

These people are mad they'll have to stop making easy money for two days. Trump is bringing this shyt back on Monday or Tuesday

The ceo has a personal invite to the inauguration and parties from Donald already

Discord, League of Legends, and Reddit all have foreign ownership or stakeholders to varying degrees:

1. Discord: Tencent, a Chinese company, has invested in Discord[1][2]. However, Discord remains an independent company and is not majority-owned by Tencent[7].

2. League of Legends: Riot Games, the company behind League of Legends, is 100% owned by Tencent, a Chinese company[4][6].

3. Reddit: Tencent has also invested in Reddit[2]. However, like Discord, Reddit is not majority-owned by Tencent.

It's important to note that while these companies have foreign investments or ownership, their operations and content policies may vary. For instance, Discord is banned in Russia[3], indicating that it maintains policies independent of its investors' countries of origin.

If you don’t care about your personal data, that’s your choice.

But shouldn't it be in a country's best interest to their best to protect their citizens from their biggest rival? That's the entire point of national security. ~120 million people use TikTok here in the US. Imagine if they made that algorithm turn from big booty thots to government uprising movements with a simple toggle?

Yea, it's unlikely they'll sell. It's Chinese Spyware and Jinping calls the shots. That's why I said "or copy it".

American companies can copy TikTok's algorithms. Don't believe the lies they can't.

They don't want to as TikTok's algorithm isn't based on paying for Ads/Sponsored Posts to get in front of millions. They show everybody. Google and Facebook want you paying $100 per click or some bullshyt like that.

why are they demanding tiktok be sold with the algorithm rather than the platform itself so that can replace with their own more profitable algorithm?

americans companies with billions of dollars at stake couldn't replicate it and lost in the "free" market.
