I've been playing the hell out of the UC2 MP and thought about getting UC3 (traded it in a while back) again to play the multiplayer. Now that this news has come out I'll just wait.

Very simple answer sir, because this is the future of gaming.
Sony and Microsoft is heading to Direct Downloads aka Digital everything
Once that becomes reality which they expect before this new gen is up.
The question then becomes what makes sense. Not everyone is gonna want to buy a digital copy as you can hear on this website.
But what they'll do is offer pieces of games online for free. You can't turn down free shyt
Then going strictly digital will make sense. Gamers can get what they want for free, then pay a little more for extra levels/etc.

I can't find the article, but it was saying how both companies will HAVE TO GO THAT ROUTE in the near future because othewise too many expensive games will kill off a company. They feel with them being free, more ppl will try which leads to more potential buyers!!!
This means that if you don't want to play the single player (or even if you're done with it and wnat to sell it) you can play the U3 multiplayer without owning a U3 disc. The multiplayer itself would be free for anyone. Then they'll hit you with microtransactions tho.

You gonna have to pay for that. The issue I see with this is how you gonna learn what type of gun you like using unless you have to buy it first?
And will I have to pay for shyt like attachments?

No idea. Different games handle it differently. Some do it well and others are shady and most are somewhere in between. Not sure where this falls but I'll try it out and see.
