I enjoyed the demo so much I had to make myself stop playing because I knew it wasn't going to save my progress. I played it on both PS4 and Nintendo Switch. I'd definitely cop if it was on sale and if I wasn't already going through my current backlog. They mostly look identical. Well I take that back I played the PS4 version on PS5 so that shyt looks better. What made the gameplay addictive to me was how the upgrade system worked due to a "turning back time" feature that let me farm points to upgrade my gear and blades in a strategic fashion. Also the combat has a good dodge, counter mechanic reminds me of Ninja Gaiden a lil including the shytty camera when I get too close to a wall smh. As you noticed from the trailer it's got double-jump, dash mechanics, dashing while in the air etc and it's got a wire-teleport, hook shot type mechanic for bringing enemies to you or jumping across gaps or to higher places etc.

Developed by Next Stage in Unreal Engine 4 and featuring art by co-creator Visual Dart (Uncharted 4, Overwatch, and Starcraft Remastered), Ultra Age features outstanding graphic and combat quality among indie titles at a competitive price. “Next Stage started as four university students in Busan who had a love for action games. Now there are 11 members at the company and this is the first job for most of them. As we created action games on mobile devices, we were able to learn and improve our development skills and knowledge about Unreal Engine, including insights about how to make a fast-paced action game on consoles. Ultra Age is our first console action game. Our mission is to show our passion for the action genre and create high-speed action games that everyone can enjoy,” says Next Stage CEO, Hyun-Woo Kang. Before making Ultra Age, Next Stage earned an Unreal Developer Grant in 2016 from Epic Games with their game Dice Is Cast.
