This may not even be worth the thread and we can turn this into a marvel cartoons thread in general but apparently because I'm an glutton for punishment, I watched the web warriors four parter for this fukk of a show and I've come to this realization: I hate this show so much. So so much.

The only time I watched that show is when they have a good special guest. Such as when they had DeadPool, Miles Morales,Task Master.To be honest the mtv Spiderman was better then this.

It's too kiddie & too comedic. It doesn't appeal to older comic book fans like the better DC & Marvel animated shows.

So I read spiderverse and just reaized that Spidey did all that shyt for no reason bc of what's going on New Avengers and Avengers with the incursions

Where to begin...aside from it being way too comedic bordering on the side of trying too hard, it does too much tell and not enough show. like in the last episode, he mentions twice how hard his life is but the show never lets his life be hard or never lets him go through anything and when it does, its for comedic purposes. There's no real character to it, no real purpose of anything and its almost as if someone read a couple spider man comics and felt like they had it figured but took out the heart and character.

The jokes aren't funny
The characters are wooden
The "emotional" moments aren't even that and they aren't earned
And it makes no attempt to flesh out his universe.
And it reeks of trying to sell toys: why in the hell does spider man need a motorcycle?

It's too goofy for me. Like I said it's not for me. Joey wanted to make a show for kids and I'm glad it's got it's fans. But I need character development and actual basis for the "drama". I guess it's because I've seen better and this direction just doesn't work for me.
