Gane is basically a heavyweight Izzy. They operate with very technical striking and prefer to pick you apart from the outside, while trying to negate any damage coming their way. It is not a reach to say that he has the best stand up in the entire heavyweight division as well. He neutralized a proficient kickboxer in Rozentruik and made him timid. That's the aspect that most reminds me of Adesanya - they tend to make their opponents timid because of their accurate counter-striking.
It's hard to see a way for Lewis to win this unless Gane gets sloppy on defense, and we have seen that he is tricky to hit cleanly. Where Gane differs from Israel though is that Gane can also finish you on the ground. As polished as his striking is, he is also clearly a strong grappler. Basically, it is hard to see where Lewis might have an advantage in this fight. We have seen him finished on the ground by DC, so that is a possibility. As good as the run Derrick Lewis is having is, I've also seen him struggle against semi-decent fighters who are not on par with guys like Gane in standup like Latifi.
Expect to see a lot of kicks to the leg and body from Gane early on. He will aim to compromise Derrick's movement and cardio and will go for the finish later on in the fight. It might look like the Rozenstruik fight depending on how much risk Cyril is willing to take. That said, if he tries to please the crowd and chase a finish he runs the risk of getting KO'd by Derrick himself.
If I had to pick I would have to say Gane via decision, but there's a good chance he can get the finish late on in the 5th round.
