WWE Announces Two Matches For Monday's Three Hour RAW
Posted by Joseph Lee on 06.08.2012

One of them is a rematch...

-Local advertising for this Monday's three hour RAW in Hartford, CT shows the following matches and segments:

Vince McMahon returning to evaluate John Laurinaitis' job.

WWE champion CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan.

John Cena vs John Laurinaitis & Big Show in a handicap match.

Credit: PWInsider
Apparently the handicap match might be a dark match after show.

Another Punk vs. Bryan match? What more can these two guys do? Shouldn't have given away all those earlier matches away on free TV and you could stretch out their feud all the way to Survivor Series. WWE doesn't know how to keep people away from each other anymore. Honestly the main eventers shouldn't be wrestling on TV as much as they do.

Lol, throwing CM Punk and Daniel Bryan in there together is truly all they have right now.

Not that I'm complaining about their series of matches or anything.

Another wasted DB vs Punk match, but at least it'll be more entertaining than the rest of the show so see y'all Monday.

Those earlier DB/Punk matches IMO allowed people to get excited for a future feud between the two. That already happened and they're working a program together in the WWE that will seem to last through the summer.

It is true tho, they don't keep people away from each other anymore and that is partially due to the thin roster these days. I believe the Raw after OTL was basically OTL II, Punk/Ziggler fighting like 3-4 times before RR, Sheam/ADR/RKO/Y2J fighting each other before OTL, etc.

If not for the fact that shows without Cena tend to dip in ratings, I'd say Punk/Cena don't have to be on every Raw if they aren't involved in any angles. Cena is basically above everyone and he probably wouldn't be here right now (considering the divorce) if not for WWE goin in panic mode whenever he's not on. Punk is the WWE champion and short of Christian/Cody he's already had angles with almost everyone currently in the WWE within the last four years. Keeping those two off TV from time to time, as well as revolving rosters can keep matches fresh.

hmm.. It looks like Punk could be invoking his rematch clause after he loses the strap, or it's probably just a dark match.

edit: I'm tripping, definitely a dark match. I'm thinking NO WAY OUT is this Sunday
