Man how over were 'too cool', talk about a lame ass gimmick that should have seen them as annoying heels getting over as babyfaces

Why did Shawn Michaels disappear after losing the title to Austin in WM 14, 1998?
I find DX very annoying without him.

Watching 12/14/98 Raw, Kane came off as Takers equal at this time period. Kane vs Goldberg in 98 wouldve been fire

Looking at back at WCW 96 -97 PPVs.

Every match with Ultimo Dragon vs. anyone was golden.

I didn’t know Masohiro Chono and Great Muta were in the NWO. :russ:

WCW had a ton of in ring talent working midcard...

Benoit
Jericho
Ultimo Dragon
Booker T
Dean Malenko
Jeff Jarrett
Eddie Guerrero
Rey Mysterio
Lord Steven Regal.

Plus plenty randoms from Japan and Mexico.

I find DX very annoying without him.

Part back injury that was exaggerated, part rehab, part everyone was sick of him and he was sent home. The hagiography is the back injury so severe he could barely move yet came into WM absolutely shredded and possibly in the best shape of his career, worked exactly the same, and during this period when he was "retired" he was bumping at his wrestling school and had a one off match where he was jumping off of ladders and then had an EIGHT YEAR run afterwards lol.

He was fukked up at the time, that was the problem more than the back issue, which was real but overplayed because they don't want to get into HBK being a full blown junkie for a couple of years there.
