In another era they could've been more but without storylines they were just above average.

The Bar most def would've been appreciated more in previous eras, but in the one they're in, I can't give them more than a 7. Both are very good wrestlers, and had unexpected chemistry together, complete with tandem moves and a joint entrance, but they were never supposed to team together in the first place. It was lazy WWE booking due to them not knowing at all what to do with each guy, who were worthy of high midcard/upper card challenger status (though pre-Bar, I was sick of Sheamus). I called it at match 4 of that 7 match series that they would team together. Another reason I can't go higher than a 7 is that despite them holding the tag titles 5 times (far more than I thought they would have had anyway), 15-20 years from now, as a team, they really won't resonate much. They'll be a good solid tag team in a division the WWE largely doesn't care about, where the Usos and New Day were lucky enough to have such big personalities to dominate the division (along with putting on good-great matches themselves). The Bar would be a fantastic tag team in 96-97 WCW, Ruthless Aggression Era WWE, and mid 90s ECW.

I can imagine in a different they wouldve been like the apa, just brawling and getting into bar fights like some soccer hooligans

7.5, 8. They had every reason to not succeed -- thrown together, general lack of value that WWE puts on teams, etc. -- but they made it work as best they could.

Probably the best example of a "super-team" that learned how to actually function as a unit and one of the better teams of the modern era.
