9. A bunch of guys great on the mic and in the ring, a bunch of classic feuds and moments, a ton of influence. They’re a 9 and not a ten because I always thought

Ole
Benoit
Malenko
Sid
Windham
And even Arn and Tully to an extent didn’t fit character wise

The horsemen were supposed to be the kings of the southern country club shytting on common folk, and Windham and Ole seemed like hillbillies who lived on farms into their 20s who beat their wives and kids because their farms were facing financial troubles. Arn and Tully to an extent too, as good as they are as wrestlers. Benoit and Malenko were workhorse robots that didn’t really fit in, and Sids just a huge psycho killer.

Mongo, Hennig, Lex, and Paul Roma were the best fits as horsemen CHARACTER wise other than Flair, whether they could work or not.

stables is what WWE is missing. Cutthoat stables. Not 2-3 man tag teams.

you need at least 4. And outside interference.

10 in every era but the one Paul Roma was in, and that non horsemen-Yamazaki era or whatever.

I’m a Sting/pro wrestling fan because of those muthafukkas.

Grew up in a southern wrestling household and the watching the adults gets so furious cussing out the Horsemen is such a cherished memory.

I will give them a 10 based on their prime run. In their prime, they had it all. Classic promos. Flair was the leader and everyone else knew their role. If they didn't like (Luger, for example) they got kicked out. Held all the titles, had a major impact in wrestling till this day. I honestly believe we wouldn't have stables like DX and the NWO if not for the horsemen. War games matches were usually classics. Everyone held their own on the ring and the mic. . The only negative I have is that the Horsemen thing lasted way too long and it became old and stale. Most stables have what, a 3 to 5 year run.

I only caught their last run with Benoit and Mongo, and I'm very partial towards the NWO as the GOAT stable so I dont think I could vote them a 10... perhaps I should stay out of this one

My grandfather got me in to wrestling. I remember him HATING those dudes and getting pissed cause they were always cheating to win.

They were an easy 10 to me. Had it all. Great matches, great interviews, greatest beatdown segments. Great feuds with Dusty Rhodes, Lugar, Sting. I enjoyed every iteration of it even if by the 90s they weren't as prestigious as their 80s run.

Based on the best possible iteration of the group … they are the epitome of a 10. Anything less than that, the entire list is flawed and invalid. They are literally the blueprint for what a stable is supposed to be, from organization, mission, roles, everything. No box was left unchecked.

you gotta explain this one because Arn, Tully and Windham was my favorite version of the horsemen.

That was the best version because those guys are good wrestlers and Flair was in his prime, but character wise there were better fits of the cocky thoroughbred athlete blowing money character than those guys. Lex and Mongo fit that character better, though they weren't as good of in-ring wrestlers as those guys you mentioned.
