So, I’ve never really known how to feel about E&C. Out of their most famous rivals, the Hardyz and the Dudleyz, I honestly always had them on the bottom of the list. They didn’t have the same level of inring teamwork, cohesion, matching gear, etc. To me those are important tenants of a tag team, even something as silly as matching gear, those things represent unity and teamwork, which is really what a tag team is supposed to be. Two individuals moving as one.

And I guess that was the thing for me, is that they were always really plain, compared to their extreme contemporaries who I thought exhibited those traits much better. What Edge & Christian excelled at most was character work & mic work, as they were always naturally funny and witty and that always shined through once they really got rolling. They’re integral to the TLC Trio, and making that match type, and really ladder matches as a whole become modern staples of pro wrestling. Without all 6 of those guys killing themselves in those matches every night, TLC, MITB, etc. never become things or as widely used and accepted as they are now.

So they’re definitely legendary, which I attribute that a lot to the heavy push they got, but they also earned their keep as well. I’d go with an 8 for them here.

An easy 10 for my favorite tag team. They were able to find the balance between being goofy heels who brought tons of fukkery but also being able to deliver in the ring with an impressive resume of classic matches. The kazoo playing, the 5 second poses, dressing up like Los Conquistadores, their segments with Mick Foley and Kurt Angle, and the list goes on. Their matches with the Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz helped changed the landscape of tag team wrestling. On top of being a great tag team, they were both main event talents as singles wrestlers. They're one of the few traditional tag teams that has that distinction. The only critique against them would be that they didn't have a traditional tag team signature move.

Always saw them as overrated, primarily because I think the fukkery and the moments they were involved in masked the fact that in terms of in-ring chemistry and ring work (think: The Revival, Day One Ish Usos, etc) and so on doesn't really compare to some of the GOAT teams to ever do it.

Besides in-ring work and chemistry in that regard, they are a 9 or better in most every pertinent category we're supposed to be rating on.

But @Cardinal Murphy alluded to it best, Edge and Christian weren't really a great "team" to me. I'll give them an 8 out of respect for their involvement in some of the most important developments of tag team wrestling.

:mjlol: People really won't let this go. Both of them were great wrestlers but only one could get the push. The Edge hate on here is comical since I've never seen this until I came here.

Honestly … the issue for me is that Edge shouldn't have been pushed as heavily as he was. I can't buy Edge as an 11-time world champion when Christian had it gifted to him twice for a combined period of a month or however long it was.

But one dude was 6'5 240 with above-average mic skills -- that subsequently took off in said push -- and the other was 6'2 215 with supposedly superior mic skills. Who do you think was going to get the push? Especially when Christian's "apex" honestly happened right around the time when John Cena -- the Champion on Christian's brand -- took off.

He never had a shot. It's like the 1980s all over again. Several world champion-caliber wrestlers getting passed over because it would be foolish to take the belt off Apex Hulkamania.
