Remember that brief period of time when SD was bringing back old tag teams and they were one of them? That was kinda cool even if they weren't the best of teams :ehh:

The team debuted on WWF television on the November 24, 1996 episode of Superstars under their Headbangers gimmick defeating Alex Porteau and Aldo Montoya. Shortly after that, they began wearing nuns' clothing and billed as the Flying Nuns (a play on the television show of the same name), Sister Angelica and Mother Smucker. They were also humorously billed as hailing from a monastery in the Himalayas.

That's such a Vince move to base a gimmick off a 1960s sitcom. :mjlol:

Just to actually give a real rating, they get a 5. They were a fun identifiable team during a GOAT wrestling era. They were pretty popular with the fans, and were overall a decent midcard tag team. Only feud I remember them having is with the New Age Outlaws tbh. They only won the titles once, and I'm not even sure who they beat. The Headbangers served their purpose, as they popped the crowd, won enough to not be super jobbers like other Attitude teams but were never the focus, nor should they have been. I think the best thing about them was being a legitimate team (not randomly thrown together only to split up and feud) that had a lot of chemistry, and had a very distinctive gimmick. Was cool to see them return on SD in 2016 though.
