With a scale of 1-10 how would you rate Albert/A-Train in these categories:

-Mic work/promos

-Personality/gimmicks

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds)

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores)

He's a decent 6. Would probably be higher had he gone to Japan earlier in his career instead of later, just to be more seasoned. Seemed like he was miscast throughout his career. Maybe had he been A-Train from the start, he would have been taken more seriously, but with so many gimmick changes leading up to A-Train in 03/04, fans just weren't buying into him. He was a lot better in Japan, but trying to do that exact Japan character in the WWE was a total disaster. There's certain things you can do for the NJPW fans that simply doesn't work in the WWE. He just seemed TOO gimmicky and extra as Tensai, and by the time the WWE started cutting certain things from him, it was too late. The wins over CM Punk and Cena were the biggest of his career, but the crowd was NOT having it with an overly gimmicky and slow moving Tensai. All that gesturing, sluggish moving, green mist spitting stuff was just no good in the WWE. If y'all noticed when they started taking some of his stuff away, like the robe, helmet, Sakamoto (who's idea was it to give Tensai what amounted to an Asian slave :gucci:?), and generally moving faster in the ring, it was way too late. He was heading towards a face turn and teaming with Brodus Clay for Superstars matches at that point. His last WWE run as Tensai (then Sweet T) was really a stain on what was a pretty good Japan career. Another thing that didn't help was in 2012 when he made his return, he was 39, and age isn't always kind to 300+ pounders like that. He looked physically washed even for a big dude. Albert is such an enigma though. He had a lot of things going for him (nice themes throughout, different moveset for the time period, especially for a guy his size, agile enough, and size in general), but yet could never be more than a mid-carder. Wasn't like he sucked on the mic either, he was serviceable enough. 04 A-Train is probably a World champ anywhere from 2010-now :pachaha:The Test & Albert tag team is probably more successful than the Good Brothers today :mjlol: the Albert and Scotty 2 Hotty tag team would be one of the most over teams today :russ:

Didn't realize I'd type that much about a dude than only held the IC title once in the WWE, along with his major feuds not really coming until Rey, Benoit, and Edge in the last 2 years of his career, but oh well, anybody that debuts in Attitude should be pretty fresh on people's minds.

Me being nice is giving him a 4, but once he went to Japan he did really good. So, do you I truly give him a 4 or the wwe for his they used him? PLUS after he came back from that great Japan run they had dancing after a few months...My answer is N/A

He will always be Prince Albert or the Hip-Hop Hippo to most of us :yeshrug: Although I enjoyed his SD run as A-Train. :ehh:

The IWC hyping him up while he was in Japan and then being nowhere to be seen when he flopped in the WWE is one of the strangest things I’ve witnessed online. Nobody even complained. :gucci:

6. I didn't see the Japan run, but the A Train run was good, he had some good matches during it. Tensai run sucked. He did a decent job in his goofy gimmicks. Overall he was usually a good midcarder.

Sorry, I can't give much weight to these 6 foot 6 300 pounders who were "huge in japan". They go there and get pushed as monster heels or whatever cause their wrestlers are not even 6 foot 230 pounds on average. They're there so folks can see top japanese wrestlers "barely" win.
