Newtone should tell you what key its in if you having trouble. Also some of the stem seperator sites will do it too if you dont have FL
i dont really use that shyt either...just lettin you know its a thing since some samples arent in perfect key. I dont really try to "ascertain the key" at all. I didnt study music theory so the note don't really matter to me so much. I just change the pitch by semitone til it fits.Im not using that shyt nikka #PlaybyearGang

I think you just solved an issue I've been having for years with a single sentence.After I think I've obtained the root, I start playing the major then minor scale of that root. If I start with Major, and the 3rd sounds off, then I lower the 3rd by a half-step (minor).
