I don’t think it’s legal to make any kind of agreement before running or not running for office; including a VP offer

But this is why I believe in a wealth tax over $1 billion. When people get that rich they can start shaping US policy as they see fit. Never mind what these dudes can do at the local level.

Trump should have taken the offer, lol.

If a 5 billion dollar offer were real, he would have taken the deal. He ain't turning down that many 0s

The article doesn't say an offer was ever made, it said that's how much Trump's camp was asking for. So supposedly, he would have done it for that much. SBF never offered, which makes sense cause no rich person has ever dropped $5 billion on a single election no matter how rich they are, and SBF wasn't nearly rich enough to even consider it.

For comparison, all the money combined that was spent on Trump's reelection in 2020, including both direct donations and dark money, still wouldn't have added up to $5 billion.

It's Trump though, so I say it's valid! :troll:

Didnt Jared Kushner make 2 billion from the Saudis? trump could never accept that

No, the 2b was into a fund he was creating. Investment portfolio, probably real estate, real assets, that kind of thing. The Saudi's will want their returns, or they will want it back. You can argue that someone uses their hedge as bank, but he probably doesn't.
