It was 50/50 with a split VP vote.
Manchin was not a real Dem and voted against it.

Again… There’s nothing fatherly about this. You are fully capable… Fully capable as I am… Of reading and ingesting the same information that I read. It’s a matter of caring. I don’t think you care. You say 50-50 split and don’t even know the parties involved. I’m naming names. Joe…the fraud Democrat and recently retired senator out of West Virginia voted against it. Same with the fraud out of AZ.

Again… This is nothing fatherly…… This is something you are capable of knowing as well. The difference between me and you is that I actually am curious to know who is who. You are more into responding with empty platitudes while examining Democratic reactions on television and not the actual business of governing. You don’t care. Nothing fatherly about what I’m saying. I care more than you do.

Sinema and Manchin say differently.
Him saying a 50-50 split shows that he doesn’t know who they are. Bad enough that he says “send people “without knowing that requires funding. Had enough that he thinks Trump has some magic pixie dust of getting things done when he has Republicans under his thumb to vote in the manner he wants them to vote He can pretend he knows Sinema and Manchin in his response, but he doesn’t know who they are and this is why having real conversations with some of these folks reveals how little they know.

They always tell themselves and hate when you show how them being their own spokesperson proves how little they know. Then they get nasty. Fatherly. :heh:

It’s not a hard or difficult. Understand law, read how policies and bills reverted on in U2 will come to the same conclusions that I come to. It’s that simple. It’s not a superpower

He isn't running for (legal) re-election and the GOP is now run by MAGA, not the opposite. Bannon and the true believers want this. Only the Tech Bros could stay his hand and they don't give a fukk about the blue collar migrants.

Don't smoke copium and buckle up

Like my co-worker said.

GOP led Congress breaks something.
Dems want to fix it... GOP stalls them out

Dems stop gap issue... GOP slams it and breaks more stuff in the name of fiscal responsibility.

GOP gets power... postures for 2 yrs with nothing really getting done.

Dems get power "tries to work across the aisle" wasting 2yrs of time.

Issues from when they broke something are now front and center.

GOP spins it...regain power... break more stuff.

Cycle repeats with nothing being done.

There’s been a long game war on not intelligence, but just knowing the bare minimum. The truth doesn’t matter cause (checks notes) I saw a guy on YouTube who confirmed my biases, no fact checking needed. It’s why I can’t get with siding with morons who occasionally say something that I agree with because integrity or credibility has to mean something and a lot of these “thought leaders” have zero with me. It’s like I’m seeing a gang of folks talking about this Trump child support rule. I’m like, y’all do know child support is collected by the state so yea, the IRS may not fukk with your returns but guess who will? That states department of revenue in conjunction with the states child support arm. A simple google search would tell folks that. But folks want the information quick, fast and easily digestible. Fact checking be damned.

:mjlol: at anyone disagreeing with dudes on here and they swear up and down someone is uneducated and only read clickbait articles or follow YouTube talking heads.

A message board used on someone's free time is the measurement of someone's political and policy knowledge :mjlol: with smileys and c00n and pawg talk is the master of intellectual domain.

You got me :troll:

That attitude is exactly what got us Hillary and Kamala and old man Biden.

Telling nikkas " move on" from trying to help folks who have clearly shown time and time again that causes we help them with do not reap the rewards at the ballot box or legislative seats or policies isn't bad advise. It's common fukkin sense.

The only way to get what you want in this era of government in 2025 enough money and influence in high places (Musk, Zuckerberg, Joe Rogan to an extent even).

I promise you keeping illegals in the country is the wrong hill to die on.

Go ahead and fight for this. And then see when they still vote for the GOP in 2028 cause of "religion" :mjlol:

The best path to success isn't whining or crying about the policies as atrocious as they will be, but the consequences of them.

It won't be the 'humanitarian crisis' that will make folks give a SHYT but the economic impact and fallout that will happen. Empty construction sites, restaurants, hotels and labor shortages.

But please tell me otherwise.

Trump shuts down immigration app, dashing migrants' hopes of entering U.S.

The CBP One app was set up under the Biden administration to create an orderly way for migrants to enter the U.S. and to reduce illegal border crossings.

Tears and disappointment flowed Monday after newly sworn-in President Donald Trump cut off a mobile app that allowed migrants to apply to enter the U.S. legally as asylum-seekers. All pending appointments made with the app have been canceled, too.

The CBP One app was set up under the Biden administration as a way to curb people crossing the southwest border illegally to request asylum. Once it went into effect, it was the only way for people to get an appointment to request asylum.

Monday afternoon, Customs and Border Protection posted on its website that the app was no longer available for that purpose and “existing appointments have been canceled.” Some 280,000 people were logging into the app daily to secure an appointment as of Jan. 7, according to Reuters.

In Juárez, Mexico, a woman cried, “Oh God!” as she wailed against a post at the border fence, Noticias Telemundo reported.

Another migrant, Julio Alberto Hernández, originally from El Salvador and waiting in Tijuana, told Noticias Telemundo that his appointment was three or four days away.

“I was so happy because I was going to get to enter to support my children," Hernández said in Spanish. "But with this, we’re left sad because they erased it."

The news was delivered to CBP One users through pop-up notifications in different languages saying CBP One appointments “are no longer valid.” CBP said that in December, it processed about 44,000 asylum-seekers through information submitted through the app. From January 2023 to December 2024, more than 936,500 people had scheduled appointments, CBP said.

Trump had previously telegraphed his plans to end migrants’ use of the app. The Biden administration said the app helped organize a chaotic asylum process, marked by numerous people crossing the border illegally and surrendering to Border Patrol agents.

But the app also was criticized for technical glitches and the long waits for initial screenings to determine if migrants qualified to apply for asylum. Trump and others also disliked the number of people granted entry.

Christian Martinez, of Honduras, said he had sent an application and just gotten a response that applications were no longer being accepted.

“Right now I’m feeling a sentiment as if something just vanished. That hope that I could enter legally, that just got cut off, and it’s very difficult,” Martinez said.

The wait has been a year and a half long for Melanie Mendoza, who called the cancellations unfair. "Now they tell us, 'No, your appointments are not valid," she said wiping away tears.

In Matamoros, Mexico, a group of migrants from the central Mexican state of Zacatecas arrived at a legal border crossing at midday, but were turned back by border authorities who said all appointments were now void, they told Reuters.

Honduran Denia Mendez, sitting in the courtyard of a migrant shelter in Piedras Negras, Mexico — across from Eagle Pass, Texas — stared at an email for several minutes, before her eyes welled with tears.

“They canceled my appointment,” she said.

Canada is going through the exact same thing

You cannot have citizens in your own country struggling to make ends meet and then they see hundreds of thousands or millions of people coming into your country. Even the perception of it is terrible

Getting free housing, free food and other services that are supported by the government or by certain parties.

There is a backlash to it and this is the ramifications of it.

This is not the hill for Democrats to die on. Trust me. Let this one go.

I actually agree as the federal government they should have got involved and stopped that nonsense from happening. Democrats being p*ssy is a major factor to their consistent downfall.
Their number one job before anything is protecting the borders.

Their job.

Siting back acting like the most powerful position in the world is totally helpless to stop that problem :mjlol:

The president can nuke and wipe off the planet an entire country before breakfast but can't stop folks from climbing over across the border with busloads of immigrants being dropped in American cities :mjlol:
