A lot of people will disagree but I have to agree with u.

True Crime NY was probably the best sandbox game ever made. It had so much going for it. The missions and side missions were piff. The shooting mechanics and weapons were f*cking great. Arresting people and going to crime locations and kicking the sh!t out of all the bad guys was awesome. The fighting mechanics were great and the city itself was unbelievable as well. And all of this was on a PS2! Imagine this game on 360 or PS3.

Everything about that game was great. I remember Sleeping Dogs was meant to be True Crime Hong Kong but it got canned so the game wasn't exactly the same. If the game was like True Crime NY in Hong Kong? It would have probably been the best game of the year.

It was a fun game but c'mon, it had a terrible story, bad frame rate and glitches.

Also all the fight club missions were great.

Sleeping Dogs coulda been so much more. Oh well, it was still a pretty good game.

As for San Andreas, I'm probably getting carried away here. San Andreas was better than True Crime but not by much.

That's why I was dissapointed with Liberty City in GTA IV. It was a very similar city to True Crime NY and the missions weren't nearly as good. I woulda enjoyed GTA IV a lot more if it was in a completely new city.

Yea, I mean San Andreas is better, but nikkas look at true crimes NY like :scusthov: when thats not the case.

Lets say San Andreas is a perfect 10 outta 10, true crimes is a 9.5 atleast.

San Andreas had a dope sound track, so did True crimes.
San Andreas had good voice actors, same wit TC.
Good cars, customization etc...
GREAT missions
I'll even go as far as to say the city in TC was more alive than any of the cities in San Andreas. The only reason San Andreas would get the edge here was because they had 3 cities plus a countryside and desert. If it was just los santos then it wouldnt be half the game it was.
The guns were piff.
And the side missions in TC>>the side missions in San andreas
I'll leave GTA San Andreas as the GOAT sandbox out of respect, but TC NY is right behind it, way better than GTA 4 and GTA 3.

Yeah, I agree with this. San Andreas wins cause it had great missions and was also so big with the 3 cities and country side and all that.

True Crime was also great when it came to costumizing cars. As good as San Andreas was.

Also going around frisking and arresting people and answering calls to places were crimes were taking place was fun as f*ck to me.
