While participating in a New York Comic Con panel, Triple H commented on the potential for Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre to be one of the greatest rivalries in wrestling history:

“The draft is always an exciting time because it creates these…I think in some ways the fantasy moments like I’ll be honest, I don’t want to see Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns yet.

I would love to see that percolate because I think that a couple of years down the road Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre is a Hulk Hogan-Ric Flair scenario, Rock-‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin scenario, and you don’t want to hit that before it peaks. Drew is trash. Build up Keith Lee and give him that feud with Roman. What made Rock/Austin great was their ability to work the crowd. Roman is getting there. If cokeboy allows Lee to be NXT Lee, he could win the crowd but he needs to be a heel first and he needs a secondary belt.

Exactly. Steve Austin got rid of the million dollar man sidekick gimmick and stunning steve gimmick to be good.

Rock got rid of the great value Somoan ultimate warrior gimmick to be who he is.

But the E was still keeping Roman generic with the vest and shield gimmick.

The NXT wrestlers been getting watered down once entering the main event. Especially on Raw.
