can only speak for myself but the #1 goal any wrestling show should aim for is just making the audience feel like their week to week investment is worthwhile and getting at least some degree of storyline progression every time you tune in

what NXT does that other shows don't do is take someone you might not give a single fukk about like Lexis King or Eddy Thorpe but book them consistently enough and put them in stories that at the very least keep you from being bored when they are on screen

except for Gallus. fukk Gallus.

Tony Deangelo been the same character in the same stories for 3 years. Ridge Holland so much a fukkup, that it’s the only character he could play. Duke Hudson shows some promise as a big low card face like Hillbilly Jim but that’s about it.
