Not trying to knock tsc brehs But I really don’t get the NXT hype. Dudes will claim that’s the best promotion just for it to feel like a developmental brand at its core.

A lot of matches be sloppy
Promos are mid
Storylines not even there
men roster weak af
Acting is porn star levels

The women are amazing to look at and division looks pretty good rho

I think it's the best booked show by a mile because every week nearly the entire roster is used in some fashion and they all have character beats that clearly define their motivations...

Some of the wrestlers are a little green but the ones who are amazing more than make up for it.

Plus, there's a lot of little stories going on that don't involve a title. Look at Lola vs. Jaida... no title... just a blood feud between two women over missed opportunities and it's been great, I think the two have helped elevate each other.

NXT is okay as a product. But Shawn Michaels is a great booker. Everyone on that show has a purpose, character, and story line moving somewhere. The fact that a lot of these people have only been working for a year or two is even more of a plus to the booking.

Honestly, I think the main roster has another level it could get to if Trips gave Shawn the book but that probably won't happen.

This must be one of those things that fans let slide due to it being developmental that SOS was talking about because a lot of dudes do not have patience for characters or storylines to develop over a long period of time.

can only speak for myself but the #1 goal any wrestling show should aim for is just making the audience feel like their week to week investment is worthwhile and getting at least some degree of storyline progression every time you tune in

what NXT does that other shows don't do is take someone you might not give a single fukk about like Lexis King or Eddy Thorpe but book them consistently enough and put them in stories that at the very least keep you from being bored when they are on screen

except for Gallus. fukk Gallus.
