he wasn’t hating. wild poultry really does taste different. it can be tougher/more sinewy, because even tho they’re still livestock, the animals aren’t selectively bred, given chemicals, special feed, etc etc.

I can only imagine what the texture is like in the regions they’re from.

wild food has a serious flavor. They are probably eating more "wilder" breeds that are closer to quails and other wild small birds. The chickens we eat for meat in this country have been bred just to be meaty. When I was studying chickens one fell on its back and looked like it was chillin hard. My boss screamed at me to kick it and turn it over, the breast meat they have is so heavy and so dense that chickens will suffocate because have no diaphragm to help them with breathing. The chickens breast will collapse its lungs

What we've done with chickens is similar to eating tomatoes that you've grown versus tomatoes you'll get from the store. Bred for one purpose, and it isnt taste.
