sometimes it happens..styles makes fights..another example thats been mentioned

forrest whoopin mosley
mayorga whoopin forrest
mosley whoopin mayorga

This is the one that fukked me up forever. Never understand how Forest lost the second time. Everybody and they mama knew what Matador was going to do and Vernon still couldn't win. At least he didn't get knocked out the second time.

The problem was that as opposed to the 1st fight where he showed Mayorga no respect, in the rematch Forrest showed him too much respect.

He did good, but he just didn't do enough to win

Great thread.

Bottom line, like @patscorpio said, "styles wins fights". When will dudes get this through their brains. However you can debate styles, not fighters.

Gotta excuse my stubbornness fam. Just never understood how such a technical fighter like Viper could lose to that dude. Two times at that.

Breh we ALL are stubborn, most of us know that styles makes fights, not won-loss records, not muscles, not the most money, etc. but by competitive nature we still argue just because, especially when it comes to our fav fighters, like @krackdagawd alluded to in an earlier post.:yeshrug:

As far a Viper and Crazo, all it takes is one well timed punch to change all of that technical ish the rest of the fight. I remember sparring this 23 year old kid back in 2007, he was already a NYC Golden Glove winner and I was preparing him for the upcoming GG tourney, he was about 6'1 205 lbs. I had 5 inches on him, 60-70lbs, strength and reach galore...this dude popped me something awful in the first 30 seconds but he didn't know the effect it had on me, anyway I spent the next 5 rounds out of my game plan because of that one hit. I say this to show that all it takes is one punch to give your Black behind a paradigm shift:pachaha: damn who's supposed to be better.

Exactly. 1 punch can change a fight and your entire game plan up.
