So I’ve shared my thoughts on Shaduer. This isn’t personal. When I see shyt that don’t add up I call it out. In no particular order:

1)12.9 yards per catch.

That is Travis’ yards per catch over 2 years. I have never seen a college WR who goes on to be a star NFL WR avg this few yards per catch. Especially in a watered down big 12. Travis was literally playing against future Enterprise managers and Golds gym supervisors. Future star WRs are supposed to dominate if not be otherworldly in college. Don’t take my word for it, career college ypc of various levels of WRs:

Jamar Chase- 19.6
CD Lamb- 19
MHJ- 16.9
Puka- 16.3
Odunze- 15.3
Nabers- 15.9
Zay Flowers- 15.3
BTJ- 14.9
Jaylen waddle- 18.9
Devonta Smith- 16.9
AJ Brown- 15.8
Garret Wilson- 15.5
George Pickens- 15.0
Jahan Dotson 15.1
Justin Jefferson- 14.6
Jordan Addison- 14.3
Ladd McConkey- 14.2

They all clear 14ypc, let alone 13. Travis is obviously an explosive athlete, so my only takeaway is he is not a polished route runner. Like Richard Sherman alluded to, but Travis got defensive and rejected legit criticism …a bit of foreshadowing

2) Ngga you not playing both ways full time. :snoop: NFL players can barely get thru a season. He’s already frail, plus he’d be a walking soft tissue injury, assuming he’s even good enough at both positions. Speaking of which..

3) Tet McMillan is the better WR prospect. Will Johnson is the better DB prospect. There is no value added for playing 2 positions, so why is he rated above both? :wtf:

If Travis is smart he’ll focus on 1 side. I lean toward DB. At WR, I don’t know who his comp is. From the naked eye his elite trait is YAC. I would say contested catch ability, but his lean frame makes that questionable.

On defense, the comps are better and easier. Antonio cromartie, a bigger Deangelo hall, Derek Stingley, Trevon Diggs. Elite athletes with elite ball skills. Any of those dudes could have played WR in college. But they focused on 1 side and benefited. If Travis focuses just at DB he can have that type of career. If he gives part-time focus he’s gonna get cooked

So where do you think his projection should be?

Trevon actually did play wr at bama then switched over. Even then he’s still not all that technically sound and gets beat. Everything else I 100% agree on. But if you say anything except he’s amazing first overall pick you get called a c00n.

Deion has already insinuated that Travis won't play for a team that won't let him play both sides :yeshrug:

I'll concede to your point that Hunter individually isn't the best prospect at either position. The question then becomes this: what is the value in a guy who you can play as both your #2 CB AND your #2 WR, which in the process also saves you a roster spot :jbhmm:

Travis should definitely be a DB. I think focusing on both sides hurt his development. Is his technique gonna be good enough for DB in the nfl.

Definitely needs to get stronger

Its no way someone that slight is playing both sides in NFL for any considerable amount of time. also if you do use him as your 1 or 2 wr/db then if he is out that leaves an even bigger hole in your team.
