When it comes to the settlement, why did Tracy get more than his boy who actually died?? I mean his friend suffered a lot more damages obviously since it cost him his life.

There is math, future earnings, and a whole bunch of shyt that goes into these compensation calculations, and being that Tracy was already famous and did/may miss out on show business pay outs, I’m pretty sure that’s exactly why. That’s why insurance payouts for kids that die are lowballed, because you can never know what kind of earner they would be in the future. It’s completely fukked up treating people that binary, but it’s the way it is.

Tracy got more because he actually lived and his lawyers can point too his lost earnings from rehab and psychological issues arising from it plus the Walmart driver was fully at fault
