They just fukked up their chances of getting Wiggins, Wiggins is a once in a generation talent and he will likely be miles better than Gay. Wiggins would of been a great face for Canadian Basketball, given he's from Canada, and the Raptors will proceed to be a perennial as they miss a shot at being contenders by getting Wiggins. :snoop:

You could have a point, we all know how Stern loves giving teams their hometown heros

Co-sign, Stern won't be there in 2014, but Adam Silver was trained by Stern so it'll be the same. The etherage if they win 46 games and be a perinneal 2010 Hawks team, while Memphis gets the first pick. :wow2:

Toronto is in desperate need of a face, and the NBA loves it's storylines. Peep how Cleveland got #1 after LeBron left; NO got Davis after they got new owners.

There's no guarantees you'd get the number one pick

:rudy:

Wiggins is from a suberb outside of Toronto, and this is the NBA we talking about. If you have a interesting storyline entering the draft, you're getting the #1 pick. Just look at some of the top picks of the last 5 years.

2008 - Rose was from Chicago, Chicago wins lottery
2009 - :manny:
2010 - Abe Polin died during the previous season, wins lottery.
2011 - Bron leaves, and Gilbert has his son hoping for the #1 pick.
2012 - Hornets get new owners, wins lotto.

Trust, if the Raptors miss the playoffs in 2014, they'll still get Wiggins, but this trade makes them more likely to make the playoffs.

Nothing new for Toronto sports. I'm desensitized to the thought of failure at this point. I expect it.

Let's go Blue Jays.

Detroit or Cleveland will enjoy Wiggins for them.

honestly pretending like we are going to get wiggins is a nice thought but shyts never ever ever ever going ot happen. all u have to do is look at the maple leafs, 3-4 hours in every direction out of toronto basically produces the best hockey players in the world and dudes aint won a stanley cup in like 40 years :rudy:

Wiggins will be the face of Canadian basketball regardless of where he plays...Worst thing for Wiggins is to be associated with this franchise and organization...Ive said this many times, its better for him to play where he'll be on national tv and thats not here...

Rudy Gay isn't making Toronto a playoff team... maybe on the fringe...

They're playing in the East.

Lowry
DeRozan/Ross
Gay
That dude with the V
Bargs or whatever they do at center

Is right there in the playoff swing of things. And if they ship out Bargnani and some of their wings to fill in other places on the roster, they'll definitely be a lot better next year.
