All Star
xxxxxPardon the kind of long Post, but I'm just killing timexxxxx
These are in no particular order, and there are alot of superstars to account for so boiling it down to 6 for each list is difficult, but this is what I personally thought about after taking 30 minutes or less to think about it.
Surprises
--------------
1.) Randy Orton- He really turned it up to another level after years of mediocrity
2.) Kyle O' Reilly- They gave him the ball for a little bit and he actually ran with it
3.) Bianca Belair- Had some ups and downs (was a little shaky when she got up to the main roster), but never fell off completely, and seems to be on the right path now.
4.) Roman Reigns-That whole storyline about the tribal chief and him FINALLY turning HEEL, and it not being wack, deserves recognition (acknowledgement if you will)
5.) MVP- He did the Royal Rumble and the Raw after Rumble, but we didn't really expect that he was just going to body the majority of the roster on the mic and stick around and do what he's doing.
6.) Cameron Grimes- That overall animated goofy character that he's been portraying , well, he just made it work
*Jamal Murray-He was going extra crazy in the NBA Playoffs
*Superstars like Otis were in consideration, but kinda fell off
**Timothy Thatcher, Sonya Deville, and Raquel Gonzalez just missed the list
***Superstars like Drew Mcyntire, Sami Zayn, R. Truth, Styles, Bayley, Rhea, Rollins, Io, Buddy Murphy were not really surprises to me cause I've been rocking with them for awhile.
****Leon Ruff was one of the BIGGEST surprises all year long, but it wasn't really for the duration of the year.
Busts
---------
1.) Braun Strowman- I know that he finally won the world title, but...nah...he just fell off so far from where he could've been/was supposed to be
2.) Nia Jax- She got fatter and at least more than once injured a fellow superstar (poor, poor Kairi). I also like Nia's song and I'm a fan of the Samoan family dynasty, so she's just been letting me down.
3.) Lana- She started looking not as good-->Make-up issues, some weight loss-->etc.
4.) Retribution- They had them come out dressed up like ninjas at the same time that Tozawa already had ninjas. They were never really "menacing" and they took some early losses that didn't help their credibility.
5.) Ricochet- This was the year that alot of us realized that despite being one of Top 2 greatest high flyers in pro wrestling, he is missing some essential things that will keep him from being a mega star. Then he ended up getting betrayed or abandoned by his clicque on 2 separate occasions (Ali, Cedric, and Apollo)
6.) Shayna Bazler-She is still formidable in the ring, but they pretty much tumbled her "power ranking" drastically. Who fears her now?
*Giannas Attenankumpo (spelling)- I, along with the majority of people had much higher expectations for him.
* Velveteen Dream had a vicious fall from where he was in the court of public opinion, but he still had some great in-ring work this year so he's not officially a BUST yet
** Alot of y'all don't like King Corbin, but I don't think you'd be able to say that he became worse than in 2019
***Goldberg don't really make the list either cause he already dissapointed us in 2019, so we already knew what to expect.
