As of right now in order of buzz
1. Kendrick Lamar (let's be honest, he carries the Black Hippie Crew)
2. Tyler the Creator (hate him love him, he and Odd Future are hot right now)
3. Game (dude has had a constant buzz on him and he has a fairly large steady fanbase)
4. Snoop (the Doggfather is still a top contender)
5. Dr. Dre (let's not act like dudes don't await his material with bated breath still, and the Recipe is def a summer banger)
On the Comeup:
Casey Veggies - He may have actually benefited from leaving Odd Future. He could be an individual talent on his own level and quiet as kept could easily be a breakout star, he was spitting hot verses with Odd Future at 16. Now at the tender age of 18-19, the dude is already a veteran.
Absoul and Schoolboy Q - They are coming into their own but I'm somewhat iffy if they could hold their own on the same level as Kendrick.
Nipsey - I like the dude actually, my only issue is that he's only internet and perhaps street hot and is inconsistent to me, but when he hits he hits hard and his stuff in the past year has been very good.
Blu - He should be in the top 5, but I feel he is somewhat overrated and his recent stuff has been somewhat average, if it were 2011 he'd be there but the veterans like Snoop and Dre are doing their thing.
Crooked I - He will alway be top 10 interms of hotness but he will never break into the top 5, he has little to no commercial viability, but he will always be loved on the internet/streets.
