The thing with Eric from a standpoint of the downfall of WCW was that he had his hand forced with the merger, egos, and bullshyt contracts to save a sinking ship, while keeping Hoegan and em happy.
Heads want to go for the gotcha, but keep forgetting that this man:
- Had a better relationship with NJPW and AAA (having a mutual win/loss steez)
- Was the first booker to have a show in North Korea (scary sight but gates were gating)
- Saved a promotion from going under
- Did the unthinkable with various creative ideas for the time (turning Hoegan heel)

Yeah I’ll never get how AEW fans feel so smug about Bischoff. No matter what ended up happening he did steal the biggest stars from WWF and dominated with them for nearly 2 years. Had the guts to take them on head to head on THEIR night. When AEW actively avoids going head to head with WWE and has never come remotely close to matching Bischoff’s success from the mid 90s. I’d rather root for a team/player that won 2 titles and fell the fukk off than root for someone that has never won shyt
